I consider myself to be very studious, always deep in focus, grinding away at work in the studio. I've invested a couple decades creating handmade pieces now--really as long as I can remember--starting with China painting on porcelain plates with my Grandma, or casting lead fishing lures with my Dad, in central Kansas where I was raised.
After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture in 2008 at University of Kansas, I have enjoyed concentrating a bit to some particular disciplines: silversmithing, woodworking, textiles, and ceramics are currently my drive. Solving visual puzzles, and forming distinctive color pallets, is my lead focus when beginning to organize a project. I enjoy leveraging my technical experience, and learned tricks of the trade, when it comes to producing a piece of art.
I've lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the past 8 years where everyday feels more like home. My love of the mountains and the desert led me here, where I'm able to continue to experience the best combination of all my interests. I create items that mount on the wall for display, built in-the-round for a table top, and original rings and pendants.
